Now That's What I Call Bowls 2009.

Compilation by Chris Revill.

Bowls season Summer 2009.

1/ Funny How Time Slips Away:...well the bowling season has done.

2/ I'm So Happy:...the club merit winners at the top of the aggregates. Wrexham A - Graham Rogers, B - Kevin Perry, C - Jim Clarke. Welsh Counties - Robin Bennett. Flintshire A - Colin Jones, B - Roger Fisher. Wrexham Pairs - Barry Davies and Wally Williams. Wrexham Veterans A - Eryl Jones, B - John Williams, C - Harry Bainbridge. Malpas Senior Citizens A - Jim Clarke, B - Sheila Parker. All begging letters to be sent to......................

3/ Well All Right:...as the Welsh Counties avoid the relegation play off.

4/ We Are The Champions:...as the Malpas Senior Citizens A team top Division One and the B team top Division Three.

5/ Home Is Where The Heart Is:...for the two Mikes, with Michael Gilpin the first home grown Cunliffe player to play for the Welsh Seniors and Michael Revill, the first home grown player to play in the All Wales Finals.

6/ So Close Yet So Far Away:...for the Wrexham A team fourth in the Premier League, just three points behind a coveted third place; the Wrexam B team third in Division One and nine points behind a promotion place; and likewise for the Wrexham C team third in Division Two again nine points behind a promotion place. Not forgetting the Flintshire A team, losing finalists in the Sid Hall Cup.

7/ Without You:...a few of the unsung players Wrexham A - Kerrie Jones played 12 won 9; B - Chris Jones played 15 won 13 and Merfyn Jones played 13 won 11; C - Mick Crowley played 13 won 10. Wrexham Veterans C - Bill Cotton and from the Academy Dave Jones both played 10 won 7. Malpas Senior Citizens A - Roy Dougal played 13 won 10 and Dave Gaskell played 11 won 9; B - President (name dropping again) Derek Glynn played 10 won 8 and Mike Jones played 11 won 8.

8/ Down Down:...for the Wrexham Veterans B team, relegated from Division Two, only one point from safety and this after missing out from promotion last season by one point. Such is life.

9/ Thank You Very Much:... to Gwynne Belton who is thinking of stepping down as Chairman, and to all the other officers, players and supporters.

10/ Should I Stay Or Should I Go:...for the players thinking of going where the bowling greens are greener on the other side; and to the captains thinking about next season.

11/ You Can't Always Get What You Want:...for the moaners and groaners, so attend the AGM.

12/ All I Have To Do Is Dream:...for everyone next season.

End of season competition. If you know who the original artists are, answers on a postcard to.............
